Why BAP?

"I rushed BAP because I felt the genuine connections that were made within this organization. Everyone was extremely welcoming and supportive which made it feel like a warm community that I saw myself being a part of. I especially loved the diversity of majors which gives me the opportunity to develop both professionally and individually through the different viewpoints of hard driven individuals."

  • Am I able to rush again if I do not receive a bid?
Yes, we encourage everyone to rush again. Many of our members rushed multiple times before receiving a bid.
  • What does rush consist of?
Rush has five events in order to get to know you better and for you to learn more about us! Info Night is a formal introduction to rush to provide general information about BAP as a whole. There will be a presentation followed by time to network with BAP actives. Coffee Chats are an opportunity to sign up and talk directly with an active member about anything you are curious about! First Round Interviews are structured as two short back-to-back interviews. Make sure to submit your application in time to be eligible! Social Night, if invited, is to connect with us on a fun and social level and learn more about who you are as a person. Final Round Interviews, if invited, is one last professional interview, similar to a job interview.
  • If I have any other questions, who should I contact?
Please reach out to bap.illinois.membership@gmail.com for any additional questions!
  • What is rush?
BAP recruitment consists of five events for us to learn about you and for you to learn about us! Throughout rush, we hope to provide you insight into what BAP has to offer and see how you fit into the organization.
  • What does a candidate semester mean?
Candidate semester is similar to a "pledge" semester in other organizations. After accepting a bid to join, candidates will experience the professional, philanthropy, and social pillars to build themselves as business professionals and integrate into the BAP family. Candidates will then initiate into our active body!
  • What does each dress code mean?
    • Smart Casual: Polished everyday wear - Includes clean sneakers and dark jeans • Business Casual: Basic professional attire - Includes dress pants, khakis, knee-length skirts, and formal tops • Business Professional: Formal attire - Includes suits and dress shoes
  • What are the requirements for me to rush?
We ask that applicants have a GPA of at least 3.25 (excluding first semester freshmen) and an interest in business. All majors are encouraged to apply!
