What's your favorite memory from your internship?

I had the best time attending the worldwide Associates Shareholders Celebration where I got to see Pitbull, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Rachel Platten, Kevin Hart, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and more on stage! I also really enjoyed adventuring with my internship friends in NW Arkansas "The Natural State" where we got to explore stargazing spots and witness beautiful sunrises at monumental lakes.

What value did you gain during your internship?

As a product management intern at Sam’s Club, I communicated with cross-functional teams to identify user pain points then prioritize and improve features for internal-facing optimization dashboards within their supply chain product replenishment sector. I learned how to create a product requirements document, user stories, and a product roadmap; and was able to learn the value of developing meaningful products in congruence with a company’s ecosystem.

How did BAP help you throughout your experience?

I was able to learn the importance of being curious to understand something and then make proactive changes, like when my BAP Executive Board would discuss changes within the organization in a psychologically safe environment. Proactivity upon curiosity is vital to the success of any group, and I’m glad I was comfortable in asking questions to uncover the root causes of pain points and to better understand the products I was working with.
